מקום בכפר הוא שמה של מסעדה וחנות למכירת אוכל מוכן בקיבוץ גליל-ים שליד הרצליה. הקיבוץ הוותיק עובר תהליכי שינוי והתחדשות כמו למשל פתיחת מסעדה לציבור במקום שהיה פעם חדר האוכל של הקיבוץ. בנוסף נפתחו בקיבוץ כמה מרכזי עבודה של הייטק.
מקום בכפר משמש במשך השבוע כמסעדה של ארוחות צהריים והרבה מעובדי ההייטק אוכלים בה. בימי שישי וערבי חג הופך המקום לסופרמרקט של אוכל מוכן. עבור הלקוחות מחכות עגלות קנייה נוחות וכן קופסאות פלסטיק בגדלים שונים בהן אפשר להעמיס מהאוכל הרב והמגוון שנמצא על הדוכנים.

באולם הגדול יש דוכנים נפרדים לתבשילי בשר עוף ודגים. אנחנו בחרנו את כרעי העוף בשום ודבש ואת צלי העגל ברוטב פלפלת. שניהם היו טעימים מאוד.
וכמובן שיש תוספות של פחמימות כמו אורז, תפוחי אדמה ומאכלי פסטה שונים, ויש תוספות של ירקות מבושלים.
מקום בכפר היא מסעדה כשרה והיא בשרית. אבל יש בה אזור נפרד שהוא "פרווה" ו"חלבי". שם ערוכות שקיות וקופסאות של עוגיות פרווה ועוגות גבינה של חברת ביסקוטי מבני ברק.
כשיוצאים ממקום בכפר עם סלים מלאים קופסאות של אוכל מפתה וטעים לא נותר אלא לבוא הביתה, לאחסן חלק מהקופסאות במקפיא ואת השאר לשמור במקרר ולהתחיל לאכול וליהנות.
המנכ"ל של מקום בכפר הוא דודו צור. הוא ניהל בעברו מפעלי מזון גדולים והיום אחראי על המסעדה ועל ירידי יום שישי. הוא סיפר לנו שלקראת חגי תשרי המקום היה מפוצץ מלקוחות ותור ארוך מאוד השתרך מחוץ למסעדה.
